Nifong has got what he wanted, re-election and a boost to his career. If truth mattered in the Kwa then he would be sitting in jail or at least facing some kind of stricture from the Bar, but it doesn't.

It's ok to intimidate witnesses, try a case in the press with false or misleading "evidence," and destroy 3 guy's reputation as long as your "heart is in the right place." This is the mentality that liberal have. They honestly think that way.

But as for the actual facts of the case, it is going nowhere. Nifong's case fell apart long ago, and it's just getting worse. In the end it will all be dropped, though not without some ominous suggestions that it will be re-opend when they have more evidence (read never).

I agree with everything you said except the part about the lecture circuit. That would require getting out of bed at a certain time each morning. If this young black lady comes into money, that could be a problem. It is hard to be up & at 'em, if you are smoking crack all evening & night.
